Menno van Rijn
Menno van Rijn is senior consultant at B&W, with a strong track record in
helping B&W clients bring innovative technology to the market.
Menno has hands-on experience from created business plans for various new business initiatives, both high-tech start-ups seeking external financing as well as multinationals in the process of creating new business lines based on their R&D results and/or IPR portfolio.
Applying this knowledge to the public domain, Menno works with various public authorities on issues such as technology transfer, sectoral innovation policy, and innovative clusters. In addition he has created and managed various collaborative European R&D projects.
Menno graduated as MSc in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft, with a specialisation in Production Technology. He now works in a multitude of disciplines, from transport to life sciences and ICT. His specific interests include financing of technology-based business initiatives and user adoption of innovations.
Before joining B&W, Menno gathered relevant industry experience working in the innovation department of Ferrari in Maranello (Italy) and the R&D department of Audi in Ingolstadt (Germany).
Menno has speaks Dutch, English, Spanish and German fluently, knows reasonable Catalan, basic French and reads Italian.
