Menno van Rijn
Menno van Rijn, senior consultant at B&W, has 8 years experience in setting up and managing R&D and Open Innovation collaborations and supporting companies – from large Fortune 500 multinationals to high-tech SMEs and start-ups – in bringing innovative new technologies to the market. He has developed various market studies, business plans and worked hands-on on business development of new technology.
Menno works with wide range of clients, from high-tech start-ups seeking external financing to R&D to large multinationals developing new business lines based on their R&D results and/or IPR portfolio. Applying this knowledge to the public domain, Menno works for various public sector clients on issues such as technology transfer, sectoral innovation policy, and innovative clusters.
Menno graduated as MSc in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft, with a specialisation in Production Technology. He now works in a multitude of disciplines, from transport to life sciences and ICT. Before joining B&W, Menno gathered relevant industry experience working in the innovation department of Ferrari in Maranello (Italy) and the R&D department of Audi in Ingolstadt (Germany).
Menno speaks fluent Dutch, English, Spanish and German, as well as basic Catalan and French.
