Rudi Loossens

Rudi is associated senior consultant at B&W with a broad and deep experience in project management in academic, public sector and industrial environments. His main areas of interest are strategy, innovation, clusters, “gazelles” (high growth enterprises), personal and organizational behavior, change management and start-ups. He has authored several papers in these areas for entities such as IESE business school, The Inter-American Development Bank, COPCA (now Accio), The Madrid Regional Government, The Rhône-Alpes Regional Government and the Portuguese National Mould Industry Association.

Rudi holds a MSc degree (with honors) in Electrical Engineering and in Industrial Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. After a stint in academics and 4 years on the factory floor in the steelcord industry, he changed course to realize an old dream, namely exploring ancient oriental civilizations. After this intensive 8-month trip through Japan, Thailand, Nepal and India, he got an MBA at IESE (Barcelona) and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and started his career in management consulting with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He has been active as consultant and entrepreneur since.

Rudi speaks fluent Dutch, French, Spanish and English and has a good level of Catalan and German.
