Agro-food Ideation Lab in place
Food Valley has hired Bax&Willems to help setting up a transnational product ideation laboratory for the Agro-food industry. In this respect, in collaboration with B&W´s Partner SunIdee, B&W has developed a methodology for two types of workshops to help companies to successfully innovate and get new ideas for their future products. In the Open Innovation workshops, companies spread over the value chain meet each other and discuss what changes and trends bring the opportunities for future collaborations on specific innovations. Based on these opportunities, value propositions are developed during the workshops up to the level of a business case and concrete shortlist of actions for the next steps to take.
Consumers are invited to the Co-Creation workshops to provide Agro-food companies with insights regarding consumer needs and desires, enabling companies to create more value for their clients. Each company participating elaborates the ideas derived from these insights during the workshop, with the help of a visualizer. In a second round, each company gets feedback from consumers on the concepts developed.
Last month, a full day training in these workshops was given by Anneke Stolk (B&W), to employees of Food Valley and their partners in the project Food2Market and to people from Syntens and Brainport. Now that the Agro-food Ideation Lab is in place we look forward to the first Co-Creation session, about healthy “snacks”!
