Final LIVING LAB Summit

On March 2nd, the LIVING LAB Summit took place in Brussels. It marked the end of a two-year LIVING LAB Design Study initiated by B&W and Delft University of Technology that has defined the framework for unique new research infrastructure for studying human interaction with and the adoption of sustainable, smart and healthy innovations around the home.

Next to coordinator TU Delft, representatives of Philips, ETH Zurich and Procter & Gamble gave insight into user-centred innovation and sustainability research at their respective organisations. Through interactive workshops, participants from academia and industry expressed their views on the future of such user-centred sustainability research and the potential role of their organisation in this field. This was also the main function of the Summit: the starting point for implementation of the LIVING LAB research infrastructure, that is going to be developed with public and private stakeholders at various sites around Europe.
