ObservatoryNANO news

ObservatoryNano is the only EU funded observatory in Europe on nanotechnology advances and their impact in industries and societies, in which Bax & Willems leads the work package on economic and business impact. Since April 2010 the project has published some 12 highly focussed briefing reports on very specific areas in which nanotechnology can have substantial impact. Before then, the observatory produced a large number of more general reports on nanotechnology impact. The vat majority of these reports can be downloaded from our website: www.bwcv.es/observatorynano.

The focus of the observatory has recently been shifted towards the needs of nanotech policymakers, and the consortium has for the last year been working on gathering substantial amounts of policy-supporting data on nanotech publications, patents, companies and applications across Europe.

ObservatoryNano is highly interested in dialogue with nanotechnology stakeholders; please feel free to contact us by e-mail at b.winans@bwcv.es or visit our stand at ImagineNano  11-14 April in Bilbao, Spain.

Also, please reserve in your agenda the EuroNanoForum 2011 taking place in Budapest from May 30th to 1st of June 2011; at this largest nanotech conference in Europe ObservatoryNano is organizing its annual dialogue session with nanotech policymakers on Thursday June 1st. We'll present at this event all the primary policy supporting evidence collected over the last twelve months and also will allow for highly targeted networking with nanotech-involved policy makers across Europe.
